The Grassroots Coordinator program works to identify credit union employees that would help increase political awareness of other credit union staff and help boost the rate of response to legislative action alerts.
Coordinators engage and mobilize staff, Board, and members to engage in grassroots advocacy and increase their politics awareness.
Coordinators are expected to:
The Network has held several meetings for Coordinators, usually in conjunction with Annual Meeting or Credit Union Day at the Capitol, and staff sends weekly legislative updates when the Minnesota State Legislature is in session.

- Serve as the primary contact for legislative/regulatory activities as they relate to MnCUN and their credit union
- Strive to remain current on key legislation and issues that affect credit unions
- Work with the President/CEO to set grassroots goals for the credit union
- Recruit, educate, and mobilize staff, Board and members to engage in grassroots related activities
- Report back to MnCUN the number of Call to Action contacts on a regular basis
- Attend grassroots strategy meetings and necessary training
