Support Minn. Credit Union Foundation on Give to the Max Day

11/16/2022

Picture
Tomorrow, Thursday, November 17, is Give to the Max Day. The Minnesota Credit Union Foundation (MnCUF) will once again participate in the statewide giving event that raises millions each year for more than 6,000 causes across Minnesota and beyond. Considered Minnesota’s holiday for generosity, donors have given more than nearly $255 million since the inaugural Give to the Max Day in 2009.

MnCUF provides grants, community partnerships, professional development, and disaster relief to help the state's credit unions and communities prosper and thrive. Founded in 1969 by the Minnesota Credit Union Network, MnCUF is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization governed by a seven-member board of directors from various Minnesota credit unions.
To participate in Give to the Max, donors should visit GiveMN.org and search for the Minnesota Credit Union Foundation. Early Giving for Give to the Max begins Nov. 1 and continues through Give to the Max Day on Nov. 17, with random drawings for more than $100,000 in prize grants for Minnesota organizations throughout the event.

To be a part of Give to the Max, visit GiveMN.org to make a gift, and use #GTMD22 to join in the social media conversation. Questions about Give to the Max or the Minnesota Credit Union Foundation can be directed to Executive Director Andrea Molnau.

  • New subscription levels and pricing structure to ensure long term sustainability of the program,
  • Customizable credit union listing on the Your Money Further website to increase engagement, presence, and tracking capabilities,
  • Fresh and evolving creative assets and content that can be leveraged in your credit union’s marketing programs, and
  • Additional opportunities to engage locally with out of home and event strategies coordinated by MnCUN.

Check for Unclaimed Property

11/8/2022

A reminder to credit unions to check on the status of any unclaimed property that might be owed to you. You can check if there is any unclaimed property owed to your credit union at: Commerce's website: Unclaimed Property.

11/8/2022

Picture
The Women’s Leadership Network invites everyone to our year-end celebration event. Please join us on Thursday, November 17, from 3:30-6:30 pm at the Jax Café in Minneapolis. The afternoon will include insightful conversation and networking, as well as celebrating the accomplishments of the Women’s Leadership Network in 2022.

We are excited to announce our guest speaker will be Elisa Vicuña, co-founder of the Minnesota Aurora, a women-led, community-owned soccer team that plays in the USL W League. 2022 was an impressive inaugural season for the Aurora, finishing the regular season undefeated, winning the Heartland Division, and advancing to the Final of the USL W League playoffs. The team also led the league in attendance, averaging over 5,000 fans per game.

Elisa will share the Aurora story, and how they use soccer to bring people together and lift up women and girls from marginalized communities. We’ll have opportunities to discuss and explore our shared values of community, empowering women, and DEI, as we learn from this exciting, new Minnesota organization.

Registration is now open and available until Nov. 10. For more information about the Minnesota Credit Union Women’s Leadership Network, visit the group page online.
