The Minnesota Credit Union Women’s Leadership Network invites you to join us for our next two sessions in the series, Legendary Leadership. Nationwide credit union service organization leader and founder of Vive Unlimited LeAnn Case will guide us through a process to bring awareness to our thoughts and how those thoughts influence how we lead.
Each virtual session will run 1 to 2 p.m., and registration is still available. You do not need to have attended the first session to find value in joining! Key Takeaways of the series include:
May 18: Get Out of Your Own Way The second session in the Legendary Leaders series is looking at how we see ourselves evolving. Have you heard people say, “get out of your own way”? What does that even mean?! It means recognizing our strengths and then being intentional about putting those strengths to work. It also means being intentional about dismantling limiting beliefs that are living in our hearts and minds. Those limiting beliefs are sneaky buggers, so let’s talk about checkpoints and what to do so our minds stay clear and our purpose comes alive. July 19: Individual and Team Purpose Setting The third session is about goal setting. …Ewe. Just kidding. Let’s start with the why. Goal setting can be so gross to some people--maybe because they’ve never participated in the process or maybe they’re intimidated by goals having to be “S.M.A.R.T.” When we start with the why, the process can become fun. When we understand our purpose and have a shared purpose, there can be joy at work. Yep, joy. At work. We’ll talk about a fun and collaborative method for individual and team purpose setting that you can take back to your teams. We’ll put your legendary leader hearts to action so that you are living your joy-filled life and so are your teams. The Minnesota CU4Kids Karaoke for Kids event was another successful event, raising over $15,000 from 21 supporting credit unions and system partners. The annual live band karaoke fundraising event welcomed over 100 credit union professionals to join in for a fun-filled night of song and socializing. The CU4Kids committee would like to thank the supporting sponsors who make this event possible!
Registration for the 27th Annual Minnesota CU4Kids Golf Tournament is open through Friday, June 10 and mark your calendars for a new CU4Kids fundraising event this fall at TopGolf on Wednesday, October 5!
In case you missed the webinar last week, a recording of the virtual discussion about the Minnesota Credit Union Foundation is now available.
Topics included 2022 Foundation Grant opportunities, new programing options, and updates on the community give back programs of the Credit Unions 4 Kids Committee and the Foundation Scholarship Council. Learn more about grant dollars available for both credit unions and their staff members and how to be more involved in the credit union movement, and giving back to your community. The Minnesota Credit Union Network continued to receive high ratings from credit unions statewide in the 2021 Performance Survey. As we work to ensure impactful service and programming, MnCUN has conducted an annual performance survey for the past twenty years to gauge its performance over the previous calendar year.
According to member credit unions, the Network has maintained its level of excellence in service and value from year to year. Overall satisfaction has remained high, with 85% of survey respondents answering “extremely satisfied” or “satisfied” with the Network. 86% noted that MnCUN has improved or maintained its service to credit unions. Legislative advocacy, regulatory compliance, member communications, and training/education opportunities remain highly valued services provided by MnCUN. “The Minnesota Credit Union Network staff and Board of Directors view the survey feedback as extremely vital as we strive to provide value to our members,” said MnCUN President & CEO Mark Cummins. “Thank you for your continued support and participation in the services the Network provides.” After over 40 years of service, Julie Lunde, Item Processor with TruLync, is retiring this week. Julie started in 1981 and has been through many changes not only in technology, but organizationally, with TruLync and the Minnesota Item Processing Corporation (MnIPC). “On behalf of the Minnesota Credit Union Network and TruLync, I would like to thank Julie for her dedication and support over the years,” said TruLync Manager of Operations Ryan Fox. Julie's tenure comes to an end after TruLync sold its item processing services to Alloya Corporate Federal Credit Union last year. "Julie was essential in ensuring a seamless transition to Alloya for TruLync's clients,” said Fox. Tim Tacheny, the Minnesota Credit Union Network’s General Counsel, was recognized during an awards ceremony at the CUNA HR & Organizational Development Council Conference last week. The winners and their accomplishments will be featured in an upcoming issue of Credit Union Magazine. Tim was the recipient of the Excellence in HR & Organizational Development Award in the Management Practices category for his role in developing the Minnesota Credit Union Employee Benefits Plan. Launched in 2019, Minnesota the Benefits Plan is an association health plan for Minnesota credit unions and credit union service organizations (CUSOs) to jointly offer health benefits to their employees. 19 employer groups participate in the plan with 900 employees and dependents covered. "Because of Tim's expertise, credit unions and CUSOs benefit from the cooperative model to purchase and offer benefits to employees while reducing cost and risk volatility," said Mark Cummins, President & CEO of Minnesota Credit Union Network. Also at the conference, Tim participated in a panel discussion on collaboration with Jill Casper, Vice President of Community Engagement at Mid Minnesota Federal Credit Union and Jennifer McHugh, Vice President of Community Engagement at Royal Credit Union. |
