We are pleased to announce that two political reporters, Brian Bakst and Caroline Cummings, will join our media panel to provide their perspective on what is at play during the Minnesota legislative session.

​​Brian Bakst is entering his 25th year of covering Minnesota politics. He’s been a Capitol correspondent for MPR News since 2016 after previously holding down the same beat for The Associated Press. He enjoys the chance to capture Minnesota’s distinctive political personalities while delving deep into the policy fray.

Caroline Cummings is an Emmy-winning reporter with a passion for covering politics, public policy and government. She joined the WCCO team in January 2021 and comes to the Twin Cities from Des Moines, Iowa, where she reported on government and politics as the statehouse reporter for five local TV stations across the state.
