Foundation Scholarship Council Looks Ahead to 2022

​Since 1997, the Foundation Scholarship Council (FSC) has awarded 340 scholarships totaling $209,000 to Minnesota Credit Union members. And they are just getting started! The FSC has an exciting 2022 planned! The 2021-2022 scholarship cycle is in full swing. Scholarship essays are being scored and winners will be announced by March. The Council is awarding sixteen $1,000 scholarship awards to traditional and non-traditional students.

​​With ACCELERATE 22, the Network's Annual Conference, getting back to the regular schedule, the FSC is anticipating the annual silent auction and education session during the convention in April. Any support, both items for the auction and monetary donations, is sincerely appreciated. Details on how to contribute will be released soon.

The annual Dice and Ice fundraiser will be changing venues and dates in  2022. Cancelled in 2021, the event will be back this year, moving to August. Watch for more details coming soon!

As usual, the 2022-23 scholarship program will open in September with a unique essay question and marketing materials to help credit unions promote the program to their members.

Lastly, the FSC has recently added two new members to the council. Rochelle Fellman from Spire Credit Union and Brittney Kloetzke from Heartland Credit Union. They will be assets to the council, helping to grow our scholarship program.

Thank you for the continued cooperation among Minnesota credit unions in sustaining the FSC throughout the challenges of the pandemic. The council was able to keep the scholarship program upheld in 2021 thanks to all your support.
