LEAD 22 Convenes Credit Union Leaders

120 credit union professionals and board members attended LEAD 22 at Madden's in Brainerd. General and Breakout sessions featured industry experts providing insight and relevant information on top credit union issues. Sessions throughout the weekend were designed for both credit union professionals and Board members.

​​Speakers included:

• Paralympian Gold Medalist and author, Mallory Weggeman,
• Elliot Eisenberg, the "Bowtie Economist" with an Economic Update;
  
• former news anchor and cofounder of I.E. Network and BringMeTheNews Rick Kupchella speaking on the Accelerating Pace of Innovation;
• Filene’s Christie Kimbell shared new research on the Changing Climate for Credit Unions; and
• Breakout speakers Anne Legg of Thrive Strategic Services facilitated a Data Strategies Panel, and Becky Garton of CUNA Mutual Group shared an Emerging Risk Outlook.

​Other highlights include:

• The inaugural cohort of Trailblazers Executive Readiness program completed the 12 month program, while a new cohort kicked off the 2022-2023 program.
• Attendees and guests gathered at Madden's new Outdoor Pavilion for a barbecue on Wednesday night. The Golf Tournament, Bingo and Cornhole tournament returned on Thursday afternoon.
• The Minnesota Credit Union Women’s Leadership Network is hosted coat and winter gear drive for the local area nonprofit  Kinship Partners.
