The Talent Shortage: Myth or Reality? How Can You Respond? With millions of open jobs to fill, it is no surprise that credit unions are concerned about the shortage of talented workers. At the same time, the U.S. unemployment rate seems to indicate there is, in fact, enough labor to go around. Everything from changing employee expectations, unmatched skills, and strong unemployment benefits have been identified as contributors to the talent shortage. What matters more than why is that there seems to be a shortage on what can be done about it. This session will review current employment trends and share ideas for how your credit union can take steps to win the war for talent—no matter how competitive it gets!
Pretty Good for a Girl: hosted by the Minnesota Women’s Leadership Network When people must overcome key parts of who they are to fit in, organizations do not reap the benefits of diversity. This session takes a look at how assimilation, tokenism, and imposter syndrome get in the way of inclusion, while providing specific insights into issues of gender at work. Lessons learned can be applied to creating a more inclusive organization for all people. Registration for Accelerate 22 is now open! MnCUN is committed to the wellbeing of all attendees, guests, sponsors, speakers, and staff as we return to in person events. We will follow the current guidance from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and state and local governments that are in effect at the time of the conference. Staff will continue to monitor the situation leading up to and at the event, and communicate any possible changes with attendees.
