We are deeply saddened by the killing of Daunte Wright, and remain steadfast in our commitment to bring our movement together as a force for change. We are tragically reminded yet again systemic racism and injustices will not go away overnight. As we continue our journey to advance Financial Well-being for All, I encourage all credit unions to cooperatively leverage our unique business model for real and positive change.
Like you, we are concerned for the safety of our communities and the people that live in them. In light of this tragic event and in anticipation that a verdict in the Derek Chauvin trial may occur in the coming days, please prepare for the possibility of expanded civil unrest. We are cognizant that the safety of credit union members and staff is paramount. The Network will continue to monitor the situation very closely and provide updates as appropriate. Let’s stand together as advocates for all people in our communities. Comments are closed.
